On April 17th we had guests from Advantage Austria, which is the commercial part of the Austrian Embassy, Mr. David Jaritsch, Commercial Attaché & Deputy of Trade Commissioner and Ms Seda Erkus, who is intern for two month.

Austria is an important economic partner in Eastern Europe. Also Austria has many profit. A big advantage is that major cities in Europe can be reached within 2 hours by plane.

Austria’s exports are more than 50% of economic output. More than 1.2 million jobs are directly linked to Austrian export. Also Austria is ranked 8th in the world for exports per capita. The main target of Austria’s export is EU. Top export goods are mechanical engineering (25%), chemical products (17%) and iron, steel, metal goods (13%). They offer information headstart, worldwide network, connected expertise and knowledge transfer..

Korea is third largest partner of Austria in Asia. (first is China, second is Japan) Most important Austrian export goods to Korea are automotive, machines and electronic products. Most important Korean import goods in Austria are cars, electronic products and machines. Except goods, Austria is also invilved in fashion week, Busan cinema center and cable car were also from Austria.
